Gibson Peghead

The Golden Era of the Gibson Thinlines

Here is a beautiful 1964 Cherry from Don Wagar.

Don saya, "I am the second owner, I bought it in about '69. The tuners were changed, which attracted me to this guitar, interestingly they are Gibson branded, I think that's about the same time they came out. There are a couple of marks in the finish by the trap, I believe this guitar may have had a Bigsby . Everything else afaik is dead stock, the electronics have never been out, I don't remember even having the frets dressed. This is a transition guitar (I think you'd call it). The P90s are nickel, the ABR1 and Trap are chrome. Obvious Braz board but 1/5/8 nut but still has the 17 degree headstock angle. Very thin neck."
